About Mechanical Engineering Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2013. Department offers B. Tech. program in Mechanical Engineering with intake capacity of 30 students per year. The department has proficient and committed faculty members to enhance the delivery of academic program. Department has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning approach, designed to add significant value to the learner's understanding in an integrated manner through workshops, lab sessions, assignments, training, seminars, projects and independent study.

Vision of Mechanical Engineering Department
- To excel both in teaching and research, by producing high competence, proficient, ethical and self-reliant female mechanical engineers for technological growth of the nation.
Mission of Mechanical Engineering Department
- M 1: To provide efficient mechanical engineers for global requirements by imparting quality education.
- M 2: To emphasize on practical skills and socially relevant technology.
- M 3: Most of the students, who graduate from the department, end up taking leading positions in industry, academia and government in both India and abroad.
Program Specific Outcome (PSOs):-
- PSO1: Graduates of the program will acquire sound knowledge in various field of mechanical engineering to solve the multidisciplinary problems of societal need and allied industries.
- PSO2: Develop and implement new ideas on product design and development ensuring the best mechanical engineering practices with a research attitude.
- PSO3: Graduates will learn soft skills and entrepreneurship skill to acquire the sustainable position in their work environments.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
- PEO1: Graduates shall be capable to apply technical and ethical knowledge in emerging areas of Mechanical Engineering for higher studies, research and handle the realistic problems.
- PEO2: Graduates shall have good communication skills, possess ethical conduct, sense of responsibility and an attitude towards research to serve the society for sustainability.
- PEO3: Graduates shall have strong foundation in academic excellence, soft skills, managerial skills, leadership qualities and understand the need for lifelong learning for a successful professional career.
Program Outcomes (POs)
- Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
- Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
- Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
- Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

HOD Message
Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Women Engineering College in
Ajmer. With the B. Tech. programme in mechanical engineering, our journey began in 2013.
Annual intake is limited to 30 B. Tech. students. Our curriculum's main goal is to teach students
technical skills, foster their capacity for problem-solving, and encourage the development of
new technologies. Faculty members are well-respected and possess good academic
qualifications. Departments mould students to become not only competent engineers but also
future moral leaders and managers with the knowledge, abilities, and creativity needed to
address both societal and industry-related problems. The department organises a variety of
activities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and industrial trips, with a focus on the
general development of the students. With the active involvement of all societal segments, our
department looks forward to tackling the technical problems that face society. We appreciate
your coming.

PEO-2: Graduates capable of using software tools related to core and applied areas of their discipline to expand their knowledge horizon beyond books and to equip them with industrial and experimental practices. This is in addition to focus on problem solving, decision making skills, contributing to overall personality and career development. PEO-3: Graduates will have improved team building, team working and leadership skills with high regard for ethical values.
